임신부 안전 및 기형발생정보Phenylephrine is avoided during pregnancy because of its vasoconstrictive activity and findings in some case-control studies suggestive of a small increase in gastroschisis and hemifacial microsomia with agents that constrict blood vessels. Causation has not been established by these studies.

모유수유 안전 및 유해성정보A study in 8 lactating women suggested that a single 60-mg dose of pseudoephedrine could significantly decrease milk production. Phenylephrine reduced milk production in cows. We did notlocate information on excretion of phenylephrine into milk.
